As reported by Football Italia, quoting from Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has admitted there’s only a ‘50% chance’ of him staying on at the Stadio Olympico next season.

The Belgium international is currently co-owned by fellow Serie A side Cagliari, and the Stadio Sant’Elia outfit are demanding around €10million for their share, but the two clubs are yet to come to an agreement.

“Will I stay at Roma?At the moment there’s a 50 per cent chance. However, I’m not worried as there’s still time. Roma and Cagliari have to find an agreement,” the industrious central midfielder recently informed the Italian media.

“I’m 100 per cent focused on Roma, it’s a great club, a great team and a beautiful city to live in,” he added.

That’s good news for Premier League outfits Liverpool and Manchester United however, who were both reported to be battling it out for the 26 year-old’s services earlier this month by The Liverpool Echo, having emerged as an integral component in a Roma side that finished second in the Italian top flight last season.

If Giallorossi can’t negotiate a deal, Nainggolan’s English suitors could pick up the pieces – but they’d have to buy the midfielder’s full playing rites outright to comply with Premier League ownership laws.
