Having already signed Alexis Sanchez this summer (what a signing!), Arsenal have already significantly improved their forward line-up. Fans will still be hoping, however, that there are more players to come.
For a start, it’s not entirely clear where Alexis Sanchez will be playing next season. Will Arsene Wenger play him out on the wings, or down the middle? This also raises the question: do Arsenal still have a need for an out-and-out striker to provide competition for Olivier Giroud?
I certainly hope that Arsene Wenger is still on the hunt for more options. If The Gunners really want to win the Premier League next year, they’re going to have to go big.
This brings me to an article recently published by The Metro, that may have served to re-fuel all the rumours linking Mario Balotelli to Arsenal.
The paper posted a picture from Mario Balotelli’s girlfriend’s Instagram account that showed the two of them posing in front of an Arsenal logo, whilst on holiday in New York. The logo was emblazoned on the front of the official Puma store. Was this Mario Balotelli providing a hint of what lies in store for him next season? Or is this simple happenstance?
Interestingly enough, The Metro also claim that AC Milan are willing to sell Balotelli for as little as £14m. I have to say, I find this a little difficult to believe. Balotelli is a world class striker and world class strikers rarely come cheap.
Balotelli’s goal-scoring record is fairly impressive. In 54 games for AC Milan, he has found the back of the net 30 times. He’s scored 13 goals for Italy in 33 International appearances. Beyond this, he’s clearly got excellent technique, positional awareness, strength and athleticism.
At just 23-years-old, he’s still developing his game, but he’s already a fantastic option. If he’s really available for just £14m, Arsene Wenger would be foolish to let this opportunity slip through his grasp.
Let’s hope that the next time we see Mario Balotelli, he’s not just standing in front of an Arsenal logo, he’s wearing an Arsenal shirt.

Without another striker Arsenal CANNOT win the league. Before last season Supporters, Press and Pundits were all clamouring for Wenger to buy a striker. He did not listen. The predicted crash came in winter when Giroud was exhausted and injured. To expect him to play up to 60 games is almost abusive. Exactly the same will happen this year. Collapse on the run in. What are Arsenal going to do if Giroud gets injured. Sanogo? The guy hasn’t scored a goal yet. Do the big teams fighting for honours rely on someone like him. No. City won the league by having great striker cover for loss of form Nigredo, and injured Aguerro. My heart will break if the oaf, Michael Owen’s, prediction comes true. With no striker cover it may. I hope Wenger is deceiving everybody about this. If he isn’t he has lost us the league.

I think the best to get out of this is to call on our sponsers to help us out with Balotelli as we really wanted a striker to cover up with Giruu .We need him and would like a hand from the sponser into this matter as soon as possible.
