Adam LallanaIt can’t be easy for Manchester United fans to sit back and watch Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City duke it out for the Premier League title. For the last decade or so, The Red Devils have made it their mission to snap up as much silverware as possible. Unfortunately, they won’t be adding to their collection this season.

Instead, they should look to draw up plans and take any necessary measures to ensure they come back much stronger next year. This is the perfect moment to start putting together a list of transfer targets, so that when the summer transfer windows opens, The Red Devils can get their business done quickly.

According to The Mirror, it looks as though he’s doing exactly this. They suggest that David Moyes already has two targets in mind: Southampton’s deadly duo, Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana.

With Patrice Evra likely to move on in the summer and their midfield lacking a but of cut and thrust, it’s easy to see why Manchester United would target one of the Premier League’s best left-backs and one of its best midfielders.

They’re both young, but they’ve proven themselves at this level and they’ll be able to make an instant impact at Old Trafford. There’s every reason to believe that they would help Manchester United to come back stronger than ever next season.

The aforementioned source suggests that Luke Shaw may cost as much as £20m, whilst Adam Lallana could be available for £15m (that seems a little cheap to me). This amounts to a £35m investment, but United would get two great players in return.

Still, it won’t be easy to persuade Southampton to sell their two best players. Luckily, The Mirror claims that David Moyes will have access to a £200m transfer war-chest this summer. In other words, Manchester United should have more than enough money to drag these deals across the line.

Then we’d just have to wait and see what effect this dynamic duo would have at Old Trafford.

What’s your take? Should Manchester United look to complete this Southampton double swoop? Who else should they consider signing this summer?

there is nothing wrong with moyes being the manager of manutd, its his first season and has not yet understood the players and their unique characteristics in different situations, its my advise for moyes not to sign players from low ranked clubs than manutd and if possible to sign players outside epl. should care less about cost but concentrate on quality

  • Neagro says:

As a team manager u must have 2 belief in your players, which Moyes dosent
